The lump is not painful.
This is the area of the vasectomy site under the skin. If you carefully feel the other side, you'll probably feel another one. It is called a sperm granuloma, which is the body's reaction to the trauma of the procedure. It probably will not go completely away but may decrease in size. I would see your doctor if there is redness, an increase in size or if the area becomes painful. If you Google "sperm granuloma" there is a lot of information about this common condition.

A small lump after a vasectomy is usually just a small cyst or spermatocele (collection of sperm in the vas deferens). As long as there is no pain, swelling, redness, or warmth, I would not worry about it too much.
