Only a small amount of the ejaculate is from the testicles; the majority is from the prostate. However, after a vasectomy, there is a small amount of backpressure that occurs as a result of occluding the vas deferens. This is not an issue for the vast majority of patients, but it is for some. It usually resolves with time as your body adjusts. You might see your urologist as sometimes empiric antibiotics help.
